After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Journalism, Emily joined the Lamar Staff in 2021. Originally from Coweta, OK, Emily enjoys the ongoing banter between her and her Texas companions, and if you see something particularly silly going on around here, you can assume she is behind it. Her husband, Ian, and daughter, Eliza, are always her favorite points of conversation.
Emily has a passion to build up children’s faith with an “Ephesians 3:12 understanding:” a fearlessness to approach God by looking to His Word for answers to the impossible questions. Kids will walk away from Lamar Kids knowing they are a sinner (Romans 3:23), there is a God who loves them unconditionally (John 3:16), and He has a free gift available to them if they choose to believe (Romans 6:23; 1 John 1:9).
