Join us for VBS at Breaker Rock Beach!
Kids will be challenged as they discover that God’s truth never changes, everyone needs Jesus, and learn to speak the truth in love. Adventure awaits each day as kids explore tide pools, spot orcas, fly kites, and watch the mighty waves crash up against the immovable Breaker Rock!
When is it? June 23rd-27th, 2024 from 6:00-8:30pm
Where is it? Lamar Baptist Church in North Arlington! (Look for the giant blue roof.) Our address is: 1000 W Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX, 76012
Is my kid old enough? We accept children who are entering PreK-4 to completed 5th grade!
Do I have to pay anything? Absolutely not! Our V-B-S is F-R-E-E!
How do I register? We suggest registering your kids in advanced with our form below! (Families can also register their children in-person at the event.)
What if my child cannot attend all 5 days? That is totally okay! If you can only come 4, or 3, or 2, or ONE, we would love for you to join us the days you can make it!
My child is bringing a friend. Will they be together? We divide our VBS groups by grade completion. So if your child brings a friend in a different grade, they will be placed in different groups. If this is a concern, please email emily@lamarbaptist.org and we are happy to make accommodations.
What does your security look like? We take the safety of all children in our care seriously. Not only do we have two police officers walking the campus and a volunteer security team stationed at all external doors, all of our volunteers undergo a background check to gain eligibility to serve. Additionally, before your child joins us in our opening rally, our check-in procedure provides you with a Parent and Child Tags. Your parent tag is REQUIRED to pick up your children at the end of every night, and here’s why: Your Parent Tag has a unique code that only matches the Child Tags of the children you checked in, which they will wear on the back of their shirts. This way, we never need to question if your child is with an adult they shouldn’t be!
Can my child bring anything with them? We do not allow children to bring any bags or backpacks to VBS. The only exception is when our 5th group has water day because they will need a towel and extra change of clothes.
Can I come watch? For security reasons mentioned above, we do not allow any adults who have not undergone our background check to access any of our facilities where VBS is taking place. Instead, parents CAN choose to watch our Opening (6:00-6:20pm) and Closing (8:10-8:30pm) rallies from the balcony of our Worship Sanctuary!
Will my child have fun? WITHOUT A DOUBT!
Will my child learn about God? ABSOLUTELY!
