Chinchin Tungnung

Chinlianlal has been at Lamar since 2017, and is from the state of Manipur in India. He belongs to the Zo Tribe (people group from India and Myanmar). Chinchin is instrumental in organizing the migrant Zo community from Myanmar to be active in Lamar Baptist Church. He is passionate about teaching and sharing the truth from God’s Word to all people (migrants in particular). He has a burden for the children of the migrant community, to know Jesus as they grow up. Chinchin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Delhi University, and a Bachelor of Divinity from Union Biblical Seminary in Pune (Senate of Serampore, India), and a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology from Southwestern Seminary. He speaks English, Hindi, and Manipuri, besides Zo, his first language. Chinlianlal and his wife, Nemneichong, have been married for 17 years and are blessed with three girls.
