Sunday School

Our Sunday School hour starts at 10:45 AM and pickup is at 11:45 AM. Children of all ages will march straight into God’s Word and discover never-ending truths to face their own modern-day Goliaths. Come explore the Bible through fun games, drama, and well-trained teachers!

Children’s Church

Our Children’s Church for Preschool thru 6th grade meets during the 9:30 AM service on Sunday mornings. If you would like your children to join us, check them in to the Kids Welcome Desk before the service starts and keep them with you during the first part of the service. Kids Will be dismissed before the sermon to go to Children’s Church. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email emily@lamarbaptist.org.

Spiritual Journey Class

This one-session, interactive class answers the question, “What do I need to do to lay the foundation for my child’s faith development?” Participants leave the class with practical, Bible-based tools to use with their child at home, beginning at the child’s present age, to help enhance their child’s faith development. This class is recommended prior to participation in Parent/Child Dedication. Email Charles@lamarbaptist.org for more information.

Kids Camp

Kids Camp is a week-long BLAST of fun! Each year, we take children who have completed 3^rd-6^th grade to learn more about God, His love and His plan for our lives. In addition, your children cultivate Godly friendships with their peers through crazy games, zip lines, blobs, sports, recreation, Bible study, and incredible worship all wrapped up with a ‘smore on top. Mini Camp is for kids who have completed 1st-2nd Grades and is an overnight experience. This camp is designed to learn more about God in fun ways as well as prepare the campers for the week long adventure of Kids Camp. Email emily@lamarbaptist.org for more info.

Parent/Child Dedication

When God adds a new one to our Lamar family, we want to celebrate and pray for this child and their parents! This is a special time in which parents make a commitment to God to raise their child according to God’s plan as laid out in His Word. Steps Toward God

This is a class of Discovery for children who have just made a decision to trust Christ as Savior as well as for those who are asking questions about personal salvation. In small group settings, we explore heaven, sin, Jesus’ mission on the cross, baptism and much more. Registration is required for this class. Email Charles@lamarbaptist.org for more information.

When Jesus says in Mark 10 to “Let the little children come to me and not hinder them,” we believe he meant

In Lamar Kids Ministry, it is our responsibility to not create obstacles for children to know Christ. That is why we welcome families of ALL backgrounds and ALL needs, including ones who may desire a more-individualized approach.

That is why we provide a Special Needs Intake Form, which you can download HERE. This is a voluntary form that equips Kids Ministry staff and select teachers to best support you and your family logistically and spiritually. Our goal is to create the safest, greatest environment for your kiddos so you can have a stress-free worship experience to get invested in the Word.
